USCIS expands premium processing to E-3 status

USCIS announced that as of February 24, 2021, it would expand premium processing eligibility to E-3 changes and extensions of status. This expansion is the first since USCIS was given new authority to allow premium processing on a wider variety of applications.

Premium processing is a limited benefit only available to certain types of applications, mostly for employment-based filings. This process allows for much faster processing at a steep price. The cost can be as high as $2,500 for many application types, but lower for some others. More information about premium processing is available at the USCIS website.

The E-3 status classification is for Australians who hold specialty occupations. As such, this expansion is limited in scope.
