The New York Times is reporting that President Biden’s immigration plan is going to be formally introduced in the US House of Representatives. This plan was announced surprisingly early in the Biden Administration but has been on hold as the confirmation process, impeachment, and COVID-19 relief measures have been ongoing.
Biden’s immigration reform proposal is perhaps the largest in generations. It would enact sweeping reforms as well as many small changes, which have been difficult for Congress to pass. The full details are not yet available for review. Any similar legislation would be heavily modified before receiving a vote.
